HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE GRANOLA WITH DANDY BLEND

Homemade granola is one of the easiest and most delicious at-home recipes. It’s perfect, too, because you can make it in bulk to stock up or jar it up and give as gifts. Granola is also super versatile, so you can add additional spices, switch up the dried fruit you use, or make it with different nuts. This is a delicious, easy homemade granola recipe that you can build upon over time and make it your own.

Start by heating your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Next, gather all of the ingredients: a neutral oil (we like olive or avocado), honey or maple syrup, Dandy Blend, ground cinnamon, salt, rolled oats, nuts of choice, and raisins (or dried fruit of choice). In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, sweetener, Dandy Blend, cinnamon, and salt. It should be well combined before adding the oats and nuts. Chop your nuts as chunky or small as you prefer. Then add to the mixture with the oats until completely coated. Transfer to the parchment lined baking sheet and press down until smooth so it’s easier to break apart. Otherwise, you can keep it somewhat chunky.

Bake for 20 minutes total, stirring about halfway through. You’ll know it’s ready when the granola is golden brown and any nuts are slightly toasted—you don’t want them to burn! Let cool before breaking apart. Finally, store in an airtight container at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Enjoy with milk, on top of yogurt, or as a crunchy snack alongside a delicious mug of Dandy Blend.

Recipe

Easy Homemade Granola Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup olive or avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dandy Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sliced nuts of choice (we like almonds)
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Start by heating your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the oil, honey, Dandy Blend, cinnamon, and salt together.
  3. Add the oats and almonds and stir to coat.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. It’s ok if it’s a bit clumpy, or you can press it down with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, stir, then bake for another 10 minutes. The granola is ready when golden-brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, press raisins or dried fruit of choice into the mixture, then let cool.
  7. Cool completely before storing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
