Anytime the New Year rolls around, it can feel like the world around you is moving at lightning speed—setting and crushing goals, achieving peak performance, and improving a mile a minute. In reality, everyone is flying by the seat of their pants, trying to keep up.
Instead of falling into the rat race of resolutions, it can be fun (and a lot less stressful) to look at the year as a whole, rather than a one-month challenge. A 2024 vision board is the perfect way to do so, and is a great activity for visual learners to see what it is they’re trying to achieve right before their eyes.
In today’s blog, we’ll be sharing what a vision board is, how to create your perfect 2024 vision board, and what to do with it once it’s done.

WHAT IS A VISION BOARD
A vision board is a visual representation of your goals and aspirations for a period of time, in this case, a year. It can be a powerful tool for manifesting dreams by combining images, affirmations, and inspirational quotes on a board. Crafting a vision board helps flex your creative muscles while setting tangible goals, and can help reinforce positive thinking and goal-oriented behavior. It’s an artistic yet strategic approach to help maintain focus on your goals. Whether personal or professional, a vision board serves as a constant visual reminder of where you want to go in life.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR 2024 VISION BOARD
Here are our go-to tips on how to create your best 2024 vision board:
1. Inspiration
A great way to get inspired is to journal or meditate on the last year of your life. What went well? What do you wish went differently? Do you have specific career, personal, or financial goals going into the New Year? These are all things to consider before cutting and pasting images for your board. Even if you don’t have set-in-stone goals, imagine the vibe you want this year to emanate. Think of themes like peace, active, rest, love, challenges, etc. Once you decide what you’re looking for, it’s time to get to the images.
2. Creative Resources
Magazines are the traditional media to use for vision boards, but you can also use newspapers, photographs, or print your own images. Start flipping through magazines (even ones you don’t think will have anything to do with your goals) and just start snipping words or images that align with your 2024 theme. It can be helpful to set out all of your images on your poster board or paper before gluing, that way you know everything will fit and be visible.
3. Placement
The best place to store your vision board is somewhere visible! On your desk, fridge, in your bedroom, or in your bathroom are all perfect placements for your board. The more often you look at your vision board, the more likely you are to accomplish the goals on them. Remember, your vision board is meant to serve as a reminder for the things you want to accomplish. It won’t do you any good sitting in a drawer or crumpled in your car. Put it on display like artwork—frame it if that helps.
Have fun in the creative process and best of luck on crushing your goals this year.
