Is Rooibos Tea Caffeinated?
Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free. Unlike traditional black or green teas, which come from the camellia sinensis plant and contain caffeine, rooibos is made from the Aspalathus linearis shrub native to South Africa, which is naturally caffeine free. This makes rooibos an excellent choice for those seeking a flavorful, antioxidant-rich tea without the stimulating effects of black or green tea, such as matcha. It can be enjoyed any time of day, including evenings, without affecting sleep or causing jitters.
