During this final week of August, we celebrate “A Dandy Look Back” to celebrate our 30th anniversary one last time. This week, we recognize the various events and activities that have enabled Dandy Blend’s rise to fame.
What started at intimate events where Dr. Gail shared his love of plants, beloved Dandy Blend, and signed books – has grown to participation at some of the largest festivals, conferences and events. Just last year Dandy Blend was enjoyed oceanside by thousands at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, alongside Food Network celebs. We were a featured item at the Emmy’s gifting suite and snapped selfies with recognized celebreties, and last year we also served up Dandy Blend at Coffee Fest New York.

Make a Summer charcuterie board with special guest star, homemade Dandy Blend granola! Recipe below.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive or avocado oil
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon Dandy Blend
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup sliced nuts of choice (we like almonds)
1 cup raisins
Directions:
Start by heating your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk the oil, honey, Dandy Blend, cinnamon, and salt together.
Add the oats and almonds and stir to coat.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. It’s ok if it’s a bit clumpy, or you can press it down with a spatula.
Bake for 10 minutes, stir, then bake for another 10 minutes. The granola is ready when golden-brown.
Remove from the oven, press raisins or dried fruit of choice into the mixture, then let cool.
Cool completely before storing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

For week three of our 30th anniversary celebration we’re taking “A Dandy Look Back” at the Dandy Family. Family has been the heart and soul of the company since day one.
In 1990, Dr. Peter Gail found a caffeine-free beverage he liked, but he knew he could make one better. He combined his love of edible plants and dandelion root with his desire to make a beverage that was nourishing and flavorful, and, in 1994 Dandy Blend was born.
